reflecting

Normally deciding which photos make the cut for our annual year-end slideshow isn't too difficult.  This year it was painful.  We had so many fun adventures this year, and I had almost 600 photos in my "favorites" folder.  So here is the very condensed version of 2011, including...

• horse back riding 
• rodeo
• gem and mineral show
• selling our first house and moving across the country
• selling two cars and buying a new one
• a new cousin
• spending a good chunk of the year on the road.
• total days away from home: 64 
• places visited: Denver (twice for me), Idaho (twice for me), Illinois (twice), Montreal (twice), Quebec City, Boston, Portsmouth, NH, and York, ME (as well as many day trips exploring Vermont) 
• new friends
• a half marathon, and a 10k
• lazy days at the beach
• 3 visits to the ER (luckily nothing too serious)
• a new found love of farmers markets, berry picking, and fresh apple cider
• lots of bike rides
• my brother's graduation

We hope 2012 brings many more adventures.  First on the list...skiing.
