Colonial Williamsburg

Jacob and the girls had a long weekend for President's day, so we decided to spend it in Colonial Williamsburg.  It also happened to be Valentine's Day weekend.  It took a little bit of effort to convince Sophie that she wanted to go on this trip.  She was emphatically opposed to the idea of being anywhere other than at home making crafts and cookies on Valentine's day.  She ultimately decided the trip would be worth it, as long as she could take her newly constructed stuffed pony from Build a Bear, and she could do crafts and cookies when we got home.

We had a great time.  The colonial city is very cool.  We loved learning about the history, and the different trades.  My favorite was the apothecary.  Jacob's favorite was the shoe maker and the book binding.  Ella liked the basket weaving.  Sophie liked the milner and the gunsmith.

All packed with the essentials.
The shuttle was a welcome escape from the cold
