Budding Beautician

Ella decided to play beauty shop...

...unfortunately it involved scissors...

...fortunately she managed not to get makeup and nail polish on anything except herself.

Oh Heather, its one of those things you say "my kids would NEVER do....."
And then it does, dang itw!
My daughter had beautiful curly hair and I walked in the front room and saw so much hair on the ground, i thought someone was dead.
The kids even tried to hide clumps of hair under the couch cushins.
I threw the kids on the car and rushed to Dillards for an emergency hair fix, luckily, hair grows out. And, now you can look forward to the next thing that you swore your kids would NEVER do!

oh no. So good you got a picture to remember this. You are a good mom to do that first. Good luck with the fixer-up hair cut.

Good job on the pictures, Jacob! :) I'm so sorry, though. At least she didn't get the nailpolish on everything! Hopefully her hair grows fast.... So sorry!

Oh dear. This is when I think it's easier to have a boy... because they can cut and then you can just buzz-cut to even it out.

So sorry Heather.

Oh no! Lauren did that too-to the back of her hair.

In happier news...I saw Megan last night in the Miracle Worker. She's Helen Keller's mom, and she's great.

she looks so sad!!

After she cut her hair she was sad, people kept saying 'Ella I love your new haircut' (Heather would do up her hair to try to hide the damage), and then Ella would reply, in a sad tone, 'my mom doesn't like my haircut'. In the makeup pictures she looks sad but wasn't. It was cute, and we were so relieved that she hadn't made a mess that we didn't hassle her at all.

I know it's not at all funny now, but you will laugh really hard at this in years to come! The pictures are priceless!

Heather - it's Saturday and I just read your blog post - for what it's worth, I didn't even notice any crazy hair last night.
