But out kid...Thats the way our bedtime used to be. But out kids all have had to stop taking naps at about 18 months and they wake up at 7:30 regardless of what time they go to sleep. So in order to calm down some of the bad moods during the day we started getting stricter on bedtime. For the last year or so we've held a pretty strict bedtime at 7:30pm. Well, that's when we start pajamas and such. After they're ready for bed they get in and I sit in their room and read a chapter of a book to them. We're read LOTS of books that way, LOL. Right now we're into the Fablehaven books. Michael even got into listening to them (he used to hear bits and pieces if he was upstairs and finally started intentionally listening, lol). So I take turns lying down on each of their beds while reading and Michael sits in the rocking chair. They usually are asleep before 8:30 and we have an hour or so of "alone time" before bedtime for us. I LOVE my quiet time! Sometimes we'll just rent a movie, borrow a projector from M's work and "go to the theater" at home after bedtime and call it date night :D <br />Sometimes we'll let them stay up later, but if we do it for a couple of days in a row we just end up all the more determined on the early bedtime, LOL. They are SO much nicer if they go to bed early. Kate really stays up closer to 9:30 because she reads her scriptures after I leave and she has a hard time getting to sleep, but she's usually quiet and in bed at least.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06499512075119423969noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1782664810515384485.post-43994222171789822592010-03-07T15:28:50.656-05:002010-03-07T15:28:50.656-05:00i love it! i think my favorite part is that sophie...i love it! i think my favorite part is that sophie's pjs are inside-out.taniahatchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12223991420448922877noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1782664810515384485.post-6809644687293895842010-03-06T18:13:21.606-05:002010-03-06T18:13:21.606-05:00So cute!
